you’ll never know

You don’t know someone else’s story, what they had to go through to get to where they are. You never will. They’ll probably forget or leave out that day they almost quit and walked away from their dreams. Or the massive rejection they kept facing in the midst of very little hope. No one of true achievement and substance could possibly share the experience they underwent to arrive where they are today.

What I do know is if you invest too much time researching and not enough time doing, you’ll rob yourself of the experience you’re probably seeking. Don’t trick yourself into thinking you need to learn more before you jump in. That’s false. It’s a mechanism built in to all of us called Resistance. It’s meant to keep you safe and keep you small.

Action is the antidote, the bullseye.
Action is the teacher as well as the knowledge we seek.
Action is what we secretly crave but openly resist.

You’ll never know what someone had to go through to get to where they are, but somehow you do if you’re on the journey.

Why not ask yourself for advice?

Stop fighting for what you think you want or need and start following the hints, clues, suggestions you naturally feel inclined to act on.

People want to know… what do I do next? (or even worst, what should I do next?)

I don’t know, but you should really ask yourself sometime.

There will always be a market for experts to tell you what to do, and then there are those that just create without external guidance…

Which are you?

I crunched the numbers… you don’t have a chance.

In the early stages of any business or pursuit of a higher calling; establishing momentum and the compounding effect are crucial! I’d go as far to say that if you can’t establish it fairly quickly (your first 6 months to a year) you’re going to probably give up or shift out of whatever it is you’re pursuing. Most of us will only struggle up-hill for so long before we throw in the towel and call it what it was… a great shot, but the timing/economy/the democrats/my boss/(or you can fill in the blank with whatever helps you sleep better.)

The question becomes, how can I establish this oh so powerful momentum and compounding effect?!

Here are four steps to get you going:

  1. Take small but meaningful steps toward the direction of your end objective (three steps you can finish in 1 hour)
  2. Do this a minimum of three days a week
  3. Challenge yourself to go big and bold on those three steps – the more uncomfortable the better!
  4. Consistency is king – rinse and repeat.

It’s simple, but not easy.

“Things that are easy to do are easy not to do“ - Jim Rohn

Not earth shattering, but I’ll be damned if it doesn’t get the job done. problem is…

You can read these 4 things, nod your head and agree with them but I know for a fact that 97% of people that do won’t be able to accomplish such simple steps on their own… WHY?!

A million reasons, pick one:
Resistance
Overwhelm
Facebook
Hardwired Resistance (based on factual data)
Loss Aversion (this concept won a Nobel prize)
Fear (of loss, of success, of failure)

and the list goes on and on and on…

Maybe our biggest mistake is that we think we can do it on our own (alone).

I crunched the numbers and they say you don’t stand a chance…

but then again you just MIGHT.
